FLASHCARDS (Mobile)

This project was developed for the GOOGLE DEVELOPER GROUP (GDG) competition, Build with AI 2024, where I served as the team’s designer. My role focused on designing an AI-driven educational software solution.

The application is designed to enhance learning by allowing users to upload readable materials, from which the system generates related flashcards with questions. The process concludes with a scoring system to assess the user’s understanding of the material.

Problem Statement
  • Traditional learning methods often fail to engage users or provide personalized feedback on comprehension.
  • There is a growing need for a dynamic, AI-powered solution that transforms static learning materials into interactive, assessment-driven tools to enhance understanding and retention.
Research Method
  • Reviewed existing AI-powered educational applications to identify design gaps and potential improvements.
  • Created and tested prototypes with target users, focusing on ease of use, engagement, and the clarity of the flashcard interface.
  • Conducted user surveys to understand study habits and preferences for interactive learning tools.
Findings
  • Users appreciated the ability to upload personalized content, making the learning process highly relevant and adaptable.
  • AI-generated flashcards were effective in breaking down complex materials into manageable learning units.
  • Incorporating a scoring mechanism motivated users to track and improve their performance.
